Your probably asking yourself; What is a talker?
Well ... a talker is and old school chat room. No graphics, no sounds, no JAVA!
Talkers are text based chat rooms .. the only pictures you get are ascii like in the background of the top graphic. You use telnet to connect, as if you were going to configure a router or something. It's a community.
Talkers have become less and less utilized over the years. When I started using talkers you could log onto any talker at any given time and there would be 50 users logged on. Now your lucky to find one that has a monthly high of 10! There are those few that everyone has migrated too, thank goodness. But talkers should not become a thing of the past.
